Taken from Jim's 'Solid Logic' album. How many songwriters pen a tune for their Mother in Law? By all accounts, she was a great lady.

You know you've got a hit when Jesus is your drummer.
"Jesus take the sticks"
How is his voice double tracked if live???!!!
I've loved this all my 56 years!!! Well, as long as I can remember..
A RUclipsr named ShadyVox did an amazing cover of this song if you’re interested in more!
One of the greatest songwriters and what a stunning voice

THE BEST BAND OF THE 70’s!
It was Joe Eagen
Didn’t know he played with Harry Nilsson. He played with many talented folks. 😊😮❤
Truly an underrated song and artist.
I love his voice so much.
He had a voice that sounded double tracked coming out normally from his mouth, unbelievable!.
I love gerry but this is better version.
test
flowing like velvet.....one more masterpiece from Gerry....
love it
I love this song , my god what a beautiful version
He has one of the best voices I've ever heard. Grew up in the 70's. He was as good as mike McDonald!!!!!!
I would Jerry over Michael any day all day!
Gerry Rafferty was a great musical artist, with Stealer's Wheel on this great song, and on his own. He later did "Baker Street" , a classic, and other great songs.
wait, what? really? Get the f out of here, man you're serious? wow

I was sixteen when this came out - I loved it, it was just how I felt!
I remember this song, very good to see this video for the first time, kinda reminds me of Three Dog Night, My Mama Told Me Not To Come, another Classic song.
❤
I only wished that you had lived longer. Perhaps you could have helped me...
Someone else in the band mining to Gerry raffery voice 😂
I tried to sound like Gerry...At least give me a good grade for effort 😊 ruclips.net/video/iz2U5BMjy-w/видео.htmlsi=KuBcHLAHJ2Gy_sSz
With such music promotions it is with little wonder that Gerry was fcuked-up in the head.
I don't like this Top of the pops miming stuff, I was just wondering where the clapping was coming from before remembering it's all fake miming, now the look of distaste makes sense.
I love his voice...since 1978.
,1978,he turned my life around, his music gave me inspiration
*-my ear-*
Magic
So he did tune the guitar a whole-step down like Credence Clearwater Revival?
Alan. A real fan of Gerry bless him. Jim discovered now. Amazing!
The music was fantastic in the 70s. Not sure about the fashion though. Gerry had a great voice.
Siempre pense que esta canción la cantaba John Lennon
It just realized this month that's GERRY RAFFERTY! you know Gerry! Baker Street, Right Down the Line
🎶 "Get it right next time" 🎶 🎶 "Home and Dry" 🎶
Great artist, love his voice ❤
Love this guy love his music love this song.
Great production, excellent song...great to hear.
Another fave yeh ❤
I saw the Humblebums as a boy of 14 in the late sixties. Gerry's performance was incredible and I coveted his guitar. Such a talent.
Wat show is he in here???
Lovely tone
Allen Rafferty? Son ?
These lyrics speak well to the politics of now.
Thank you very much for showing this video. It seems to capture the real Gerry Rafferty when he's clean, sober, and at his best. It's just too bad that could never overcome his problem of alcoholism in the end. Well, only God can judge every single one of us. My only regret is not hearing about Gerry Rafferty earlier before he died. Once again, thanks for the video Alan, and rest in peace Gerry.
Love this song . Reminds me when I saw Gerry , Billy Connely & Tom Harvey ~The Humblebums in the Tudor Hotel Folk night
Barbara Dickson is an absolute STAR!!
